A note from the founder

Why we are building Artemis

We want to tell you a little about our vision for Artemis Maps.

Our planet is full of secrets: beautiful landscapes, hidden paths, remote beaches, and extraordinary places exist all around us, often just beyond the limits of what we know. We believe that discovering these places should be easier, more personal, and more accessible.

That is why we envisioned Artemis Maps: a platform for navigation and exploration designed to be more than a guide from one destination to another. We want Artemis to become a companion for those who wish to explore the world on their own terms.

Every adventurer is different. Some seek challenging mountain trails and remote landscapes; others want peaceful viewpoints, secluded beaches, or beautiful places to enjoy with family and friends. Artemis is being developed to understand these different interests and help people discover places that match their individual needs and desires.

Let your curiosity guide the journey.

We also envision a different kind of navigation experience: one that encourages curiosity rather than simply directing you toward a predetermined destination. With Artemis, you will be able to look around, discover what catches your interest, and let your curiosity guide the journey, with Artemis there to help you along the way.

We are a small team of people passionate about nature, exploration, and adventure. Through this project, we hope to share that passion with others and help people develop a deeper connection with the world around them.

Leave no traceWith that comes a responsibility. The places we discover are worth protecting. When exploring the outdoors, please respect the environment, leave no litter behind, and take care to preserve the beauty of the places you visit. The next adventurer should have the opportunity to experience them just as you did.
How we use AIFinally, we want to be transparent about the technology behind Artemis. Artificial intelligence is one of the tools we use to help bring this project to life. We see it as a practical means of developing our vision, not a replacement for human curiosity, creativity, or passion. Technology can help us build the guide, but the love for exploration that inspires it remains profoundly human.

We invite you to join us on this journey.

Why Artemis?

Artemis is the Greek goddess of wild places: forests, mountains and the hunt. Her companion Callisto was set among the stars as Ursa Major, the Great Bear, whose brightest stars have shown travellers the way north for thousands of years. Our sign is drawn from them.
